Jeffery Hughes
Jeff Hughes is an Emeritus Professor in the Curtin Medical School, Curtin University, having formerly been Head, School of Pharmacy at the same university. He is a co-inventor of PainChek the first regulatory cleared medical device in the form of a mobile application for the assessment of pain in people with advanced dementia. Currently he golds the position of Chief Scientific Officer of PainChek Ltd, which acquired the Electronic Pain Assessment Technologies (ePAT( Pty Ltd for the purpose of commercialising the technology. E/Prof Hughes is a pharmacist by training, and has received a number of state, national and international awards for his services to pharmacy education, practice and research. An author of over 180 review papers and recipient of over $14M in research grants and consultancies.
