Emily H Gordon
Dr Emily Gordon (BSpPath MBBS FRACP Phd) is a Consultant Geriatrician at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. Dr Gordon leads a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive geriatric assessment and management to frail older adults in the acute and subacute hospital settings.
Dr Gordon has a growing track record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals in the field of frailty. Her research output is commensurate with her clinical and personal commitments, as well as her status as an early career researcher. Her Doctoral Thesis, titled ‘Sex differences in frailty’, was completed in 2020 under the mentorship of Professor Ruth Hubbard, the foremost frailty researcher in Australia. Dr Gordon mentors and supervises an increasing number of Advanced Training Registrars and Research Higher Degree Candidates at PAH and UQ.
